While we’re all reacting to Gov. Sarah Palin’s stunning resignation announcement Friday, maybe we should be asking if she’s freeing herself up for a run for the US Senate or even better the presidency in 2012?
“I am determined to take the right path for Alaska even though it is not the easiest path,” Palin said after the announcement, according to a press release from her office. “Once I decided not to run for re-election, I also felt that to embrace the conventional ‘Lame Duck’ status in this particular climate would just be another dose of ‘politics as usual,’ something I campaigned against and will always oppose.”

You can be assured that we’ll be hearing all kinds of things from the “elites” and leftist media types in the coming days. The term “quitter” will be battered around as well as speculation about her not having a thick enough skin. Of course they’ll bring in the family issues and maybe having a Downs child demands more time than she anticipated. Or, then again…they’ll say she’s fed up with the attacks since Day One and the comments from Letterman which didn’t arouse much defense. In the lefties minds this will open her up to charges that she is a quitter and reinforces an image of her as “flaky” in the mainstream media. They’ll play up, she should have served out her term, and get the experience under her belt. Obama and Axelrod will crank up the smear machine and take it to heights we’ve not seen. Honestly, the Republican Party hasn’t really been by her side much either.
But the real deal, possibly she felt to moored to Alaska and she realized she had to get out there to solidify her national and international credentials. Sara Palin truly has a servants heart and has possibly stepped down to try and save America. On the experience factor, she’d run circles around the current occupier of the oval office. Yes, she may be light……..but, look at what America settled upon. Executive experience, he has none. He’s never even so much run a Dairy Queen. Research it and while you’re doing your homework…check out his voting record in Illinois and how many times he was actually present. “Junior”, is a kind word. And this is what we now have running the most powerful country in the world….at least it was when he took office.
It might behoove Sara Palin to leave the Republican party. As hard as that might be to accept for many of us, she’d be unbridled to speak her mind and fight for the continued liberties, freedom and prosperities we have all grown to love without being harnessed. Now, without the McCain muzzle, she’ll be able to speak from the heart directly to everyone that truly loves America. She’d be able to travel around speaking pointedly and honestly about the real political climate in the country and on Capitol Hill. And, what this administration is trying to slide in the backdoor while we sleep at night. Sara Palin is a formidable figure and she’ll mount a strong defense against Obama in any capacity. Yes, whatever her motivation is for leaving office we can all hope that she’ll show a strong presence out there while shaking up and going after the designs of the Obama camp. She’s proven no fear of taking on the issues and speaking out about the truth during the campaign, she has nothing to lose and can be unleashed now…..on her own terms.
The punditry and the elites are rather shocked now, and hopefully more so in the months to come. We’ve all been inspired by a young women in Iran who died for her beliefs and commitments, yes maybe America will be inspired by a women who has a track record of getting out there and speaking her mind. One of deep values and love of country….a real American heart and proven example of being true to decency. Something we don’t see much of these days in our politicians. Possibly, she’ll be the spark to awaken this country.
No, for all those who even try to remotely put Sara Palin in the “quitter column……think again. Sara Palin says she’ll come out ahead if she went one on one with fellow jogger Obama in a long run. “I betcha I’d have more endurance”, she told Runner’s World magazine. “Sweat is my sanity”.

Gov. Sara Palin isn’t a quitter. She’ll play the game her way. For all of you Grass root supporters, head on over to http://www.palin4pres2012.com . The GOP establishment had better watch out, Sara Palin and Ron Paul combined with the power of the internet, this will remove the stranglehold of the GOP special interest groups and the elites who brought the party to its knees in defeat in the 2008 elections.
Oh, and for those of you unfamiliar with Ron Paul…..he’s been the ONLY one to questioned the policies of the Federal Reserve amongst many other things while defending our civil liberties,
