Organizing for National Socialist Health Care

Kudos to Barry Willoughby, Mark Strong and all of the Patriots who launched a defense to Organizing for America in Naples, Fl.! While the battle over the health care reform has mobilized interest groups on both sides of the political spectrum, each seems to be convinced their position is the correct one. However, Barney Frank, John Kerry and the likes are convinced a single payer is the best plan, while Barack Obama has taken both positions telling the public we won’t lose our option for private insurance while promoting a morph into supporting single payer plan. So why can’t the people supporting Obama’s Health care plan actually hear the double talk?

The Obama administration and its allies ACORN, Organizing for America, SEIU, Health Care for America Now, etc. are  scrambling to contain a full throated ideological debate. Max Baucus (D-Montana) said in an interview, “we have an opportunity to accomplish a very significant health reform…..let’s not have any sparks that could light a fire.”

The sparks however are already flying. This week in St. Louis, the Obama camp ACORN and SEIU critically beat a man which landed him in a hospital bed. This brutal beating is part of an organized plan to suppress dissent to the Administration’s planned seizure of the medical industry in the United States. Angry citizens have voiced their protests all across America, they all know and understand what’s really in this bill. Conservatives have zeroed in on this plan as an Achilles’ heel in Obama’s healthcare reform, casting it as a move toward Canadian style rationed government healthcare with federal bureaucrats dictating personal medical decisions as written in various parts of the bill.

Meanwhile on the left, advocates of a single payer system are fermenting the showdown with the right to force Obama and Democrat leaders to  stand firm and eventually lead this bill into this new government run program. This in conjunction with the strong arming up on Capitol Hill from Obama’s insiders and lobbyists. Oddly, many ordinary citizens on the left don’t even understand the plan and argue the private insurance companies options won’t be driven out and we won’t all eventually all end up on a government dictated plan. With a cult like mentality private citizens along with elected public servants selectively focus on their personal ideologies. Top White House Aides, Axelrod and Messina said earlier this week, “If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard,” while Harry Reid when on to say, “They are just helping us understand the fringe that is trying to mess up our meetings,”   Do you think these individuals have the capability to hear more less understand?

Now with the debate flaring, Obama and his congressional allies are struggling to  head off the conservative assault with trumped up statements of the Republicans being behind each rally and Pelosi even going as far as to include language of Nazi swastikas being worn at town hall meetings.  Sebelius is out promoting the plan telling people the administration has no intention of driving private insurers out of the business. We know her value on life. These people will create any kind of distraction citing the protests are ‘manufactured Astroturf grass root’ mobs organized by the right wing zealots to push against their bill. Saul Alinksy would be proud, all tactics torn right from the pages of his handbook, Rules for Radicals.

The federal government already provides health insurance to about 83 million Americans through Medicare, Medicaid and other public programs including those offered by the military. We can see the fiscal track record and how effective the government can run these programs.  To initiate more government run programs, industry leaders and many conservatives maintain the government would have an unfair advantage and ultimately drive insurers out of the business, and ultimately more government control in our private lives. This would inevitably mean a single payer system. The probability that a monopoly serving all citizens well is close to nil. A public insurance plan will lead to nationalization of healthcare and new limits on patient choice.

The larger majority of Americans don’t want government agencies, boards or regulators standing between them and their doctors….they understand that government control inevitably leads to rationing. Canada and Britain both have single payer systems with long waiting lists and limited patient choices.

Yet MoveOn.org, Health Care for America Now, Organizing for America along with numerous other Obama community organizing groups are hitting the streets hard with a big push to convince the voters a public plan will make them live longer. How does their interpretation of an extended life plan which is written in the bill on page 425 with more bureaucracy of advance care planning consultations for senior citizens, assisted suicide, and euthanasia extend life? I think we’ve all seen enough video which reflects contrary disingenuous words from this side of the table. Over this next month and beyond America and Naples will be bombarded on street corners, farmer’s markets and even at your front door with people canvassing for Obama’s health care reform since they’ve established residency in Old Naples.

And finally,  irrespective of what’s in the plan and what’s not,  America can’t afford it.  If this bill is really so good for all of us then why such a hard sell?

Stay healthy my friend………… http://www.aipnews.com/talk/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=6663&posts=

To all Tea Party Patriots By Barry Willoughby

I was going to write an update about the Naples Tea Party, which confronted Organizing For America today in Naples, before I read Mark Strong’s piece describing the scene of the “fishy” angry mob walking side by side and singing “God Bless America.”

But after reading Mark’s beautifully written description of the event, I decided to just forward what he had to say.

August 8, 2009 By J. Mark Strong

Another blazing hot August day in Naples, but over 100 people showed up to protest ObamaCare as what they see as wrong and akin to “The March to Socialism” for healthcare. With profound irony, these wild eyed radical mobsters (if you believe the DNC) chose Pettit Square on 3rd Street South to vent their anger. Use this link to see how radical they were!

http://gallery.me.com/pericles02#102044

Pettit Sq. is owned by avid Obama supporter, Jack Antaramian. To his credit, Antaramian came outside his offices which featured several very large Obama campaign signs in its windows and with his wife engaged a few members of the crowd. Tea Party marchers have a very hard time understanding why, one of the most successful developers ever in Naples chooses to ardently support and fund-raise for Obama. I asked Antaramian point blank, “Why”? He gave several examples of employees who could not get coverage at affordable prices, how he has subsidized care on occasion for employees as the reason why we need change.

I then asked if he truly thought a single payer system could work here when it has seemingly failed badly in so many countries. He said he didn’t think Obama wants a single payer system, much less “socialism” as was objected to on most of the signs being carried in the crowd marching outside his office. Summing up his position, he said he didn’t mind paying higher taxes in order to help those without care get help.

So, is it fair to say we have a major problem of perception in this country? To the protesters who have seen Obama video clips countless times where he flatly states that he wants to “get to a single payer system” and members of his inner circle who have also emphatically stated ‘single payer’ as their objective, the argument is starkly defined.

However, let’s be clear and fair about this movement by the Naples Tea Party and one of its local organizers, Barry Willoughby. The crowd was told repeatedly by Andrew Wright, another organizer, to stay spread out, be careful not to block any doors, don’t provoke any actions that might cause a complaint to the police. Truth be told, Americans across the country appear to be galvanizing in their objection to Obama’s policies. Healthcare has been the dry tinder and Obama’s exhortations to Congress to get it done fast has ignited the blaze.

But isn’t this ensuing discussion exactly what’s needed? Congress clearly flubbed its responsibility to come up with a coherent solution that voters could understand and support.

Everyone gets the point, there’s a problem that requires solutions. The attempt to jam a 1,000 page plan no one understands down American’s throats clearly back-fired.

Now, the healthy process is underway and it will likely include elements like more competition and access, not less, tort reform, fair pay for doctors and how to sensibly address those who truly can’t afford care, but truly deserve it. It’s not going to be easy, but it will hopefully be a vastly superior plan than to that which we’ve had foisted upon us thus far.

America thrived under capitalism and a sense of fair play. Those who’ve gamed the system need to be held accountable. But Government control? White House encouragement to report “fishy” actions? Acorn funded by the Government? That, is going to be unacceptable to a large majority of proud taxpaying American patriots.

I was honored to be a part of this protest, It was orderly and respectfull, just as Brooks Bros. folks usually are. The young, the Elderly, Mothers pushing strollers, all marching up and down in front of this OFA office right here in Old Naples. Carrying hand made signs and American Flags, more on the street corners, and in the park across the street, cars driving by honking horns and waving. These are concerned Americans, not Democrat or Republicans but Americans.

thank you for exposing the truth about OFA and thank you to the Naples patriots
