During Barack Obama’s speech to Congress last evening, Rep. Joe Wilson, R- S.C., broke protocol and shouted, “You Lie!” , when Obama said his health care plan wouldn’t cover illegals.

Obama has repeatedly said his plan would cover 47 million uninsured, a number that includes 11 or 13 million illegal aliens. After Rep. Wilson with un-contained emotion had a knee jerk reaction to Obama’s speech, Obama looked toward Wilson and replied……”that’s not true” and went on with his speech.

Did he lie? The fact is, Obama started lying at the very beginning of this speech. While he stood confidently in front of America and proclaimed, “we have pulled this economy back from the brink”……. oh, really?

Back from the brink……under Obama unemployment has soared to 9.7%. It was at 7.6% when he assumed his role. Unemployment is now in excess of 10% in 15 states and 3,766,000 jobs have been lost. Home foreclosures are on the rise. The national debt in the first 230 years of this great Republic grew to $11.67 TRILLION! Under Obama, a whopping $9 TRILLION has been added to the national debt is just six short months.

Further, the Gross Domestic Product has dropped 6.5%……….so did Obama lie?

While Joe Wilson may have acted inappropriately and broken protocol….he was correct in what he said, reflecting on what Obama said in the first two minutes of his excessively long diatribe. His allies in the media won’t report his lies, but will cover up for him when he’s caught. And they’ll attack anyone who has the courage to call him on his lies, let’s watch what happens to Joe Wilson for daring to tell the truth.

Some unemployment figures report numbers even worse than the conservative numbers above. According to other statistics, the latest numbers indicate unemployment is actually at 16% (not the 9.7% like the Fed would like you to believe). But, you’d have to count:

-The people who have lost their full time jobs and are working part time because they are unable to find full time work.

-People who have been laid off for more than six months and are still unable to find a job.

-People who have just given up looking for work.

So, what brink is Obama speaking off?

During the last week more and more Americans are calling various talk  shows and their hosts have called Obama a liar. When he continues to lie about what he wants for health care, who is surprised when one of our elected Representatives calls him a liar? The polls are indicating the majority of the American people no longer trust him or believe him.

How can you scold and lie to the American people and expect to be honestly re-elected? President Obama and the progressive radical socialist Democratic Party are not what the American people elected. Without very specific language in the bill which specifically excludes abortions and illegal aliens, the President is lying about both being excluded from coverage.

Medicare is currently running deficits that are expected to grow larger every year. Of these costs, over 20% of the doctor and hospital bills are shifted to private insurance. This plan would make things worse. The estimated annual cost of Obama’s plan when fully implemented is in the 500 billion dollar range. The most optimist estimate is 250 billion, which no one believes. Now, that’s a surprise………
