Coming to a classroom assembly near you…………..
A school principal has apologized for showing a video at an assembly that a politically conservative group leader is calling, “radial, leftist propaganda”.
Children at Eagle Bay Elementary School in Farmington, UT. Were shown a short video called “I pledge” on August 28, 2009. The video opens with an image of alleged President Obama and a part of a speech in which he says, “Let us summon a new spirit of patriotism, of responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves but each other.” You think Bush expanded executive power….remember these words?
“Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uniformed.”
The video features celebrities making pledges about how they will help the president and the world.
Many pledges, such as supporting local food banks, smiling more and caring for the elderly are noncontroversial. But, other pledges such as “to never give anyone the finger when I’m driving again”, “to sell my obnoxious car and buy a hybrid” and to advance stem cell research are inappropriate. One parent said such a video promoting certain values shouldn’t have been shown and that such values should be decided in the home.
Showing the video in a public school is completely inappropriate, especially without parents being aware. The video includes these celebrity declarations, among others…..some of which are completely fine and laudatory, some of which are ridiculous, some of which are meaningless, some of which are loaded:
“I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama……to be a servant of our President and to all mankind.”
And to think we thought he was elected to focus on unemployment, keep people from losing their homes, promote financial aid to small business, reduce the deficit, end the war……you know, these mundane topics.
Obama wants his own Civilian National Security Force, he is speaking to PreK-6th graders, 7-12 grades, he controls the banks, the financial industry, the car companies, and is intent on internet control, radio, healthcare and the environment. So, let’s ask again………
What are you willing to do to save your country?
And to think, many schools aren’t even back in session yet. But……..indoctrination never takes a vacation.

I just wanted to let you know that our group is taking action against the POTUS speech to our children.
We are calling the local school board and objecting, with a Burn-the-phone-lines campaign. This is set for today and tomorrow, since Monday is a holiday. Ask for the public relations director. If you get an answering machine, leave a message. All adult members of the household can call.
In our local area (Sarasota County), there is a “school referendum tax” which we, as voters, must approve at the polls. We are telling the school board that we will vote “no” for this 1% tax if they allow this indoctrination of our children. I do not know if this is just for our area, or is state-wide.
