Mark Twain once said, “It could probably be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctly native American criminal class except Congress”. He’d flip if he could see the members today in Congress, along with the Senate and Executive Branch leading this nation. Then again,  he need only to take a look into the company in which Obama has kept over the years and continues to surround himself with.

When Nancy Pelosi became the first female Speaker of the House, she pledged she intended to run the most honest, open and ethical Congress in history. Not in partisanship and to make changes for our country…..”to drain the swamp”.

Unfortunately for America, Pelosi has only festered the swamp. Anything different would have been political genocide for the Democratic Party. She has become the leader of the most corrupt and inept Congress in history and along with Barack Obama, procedurally shut out the spineless Republican Party from any input in the House Bills and refused to acknowledge their legislative proposals. Reid is not any better…..it’s becoming the same in the Senate.

It wasn’t enough America was subjected to terrorist Jeff Jones of the Apollo Alliances crafting  the Stimulus and Cap and Trade Bills, now, ex-felon Robert Creamer’s enters the stage in laying out the strategy for the nation’s health care plan. Since the “new” Democratic party possess such a predilection for collectivism of including  Socialists, Marxists and any other radical input……or the latest term “progressive”.  What’s worse we put them there, a little sample of who we put our trust in:

-Half of the House Defense Subcommittee, Democrats who control Pentagon spending are under investigation by ethics investigators in Congress.

-John Murtha is being investigated by two separate ethic offices, including his part in the House Defense Subcommittee scam.

-Charlie Rangel is being investigated for myriad criminal and ethical infractions …15 years of not paying income taxes, fails to disclose to Congress most of his assets.

-Carolyn Kirkpatrick, Donald Payne, Bernie Thompson, Donna Christensen…all Democrats under investigation for breaking House Rules on corporate sponsored travel.

-Jesse Jackson Jr. under investigation for taking part in the clandestine bidding process with Illinois Gov. Ron Blagojevich for Obama’s Senate Seat.

-William Jefferson, Homeland Security Committee member convicted for political corruption. Who was caught red-handed stuffing $90,000 of marked bills he received for an FBI bribery sting in his freezer….and Pelosi appointed after the marked bills were discovered…….she thought it had no relevance to the position.

-Maxine Waters under investigation for using her influence to route stimulus money to a bank partly owned by her husband.  She also added an amendment to the bill adding ACORN to the committee to help craft financial regulations. This amendment was passed by House Financial Services Committee.

-Laura Richardson, Democrat Congresswomen under ethics investigation. Seems she lied in her financial disclosure form for Congress, and as a Congresswomen received special treatment from a lender….as committed by

Chris Dodd, Charlie Rangel……and so many more……

A little more run down of the 535 members of Congress enumerations of errors. The latest statistics reveal:

-       117 have bankrupted at least two business

-       53 have personal records so serious they would be denied security clearances by the Department of Defense, but since they’re in Congress the get a pass.

-       29 members of Congress have been accused of spousal abuse.

-       27 have DWI’s.

-       14 member of Congress have drug-related arrests.

-       21 are current defendants in various lawsuits ranging from bad debt to disputes with business partners or other civil matters.

-       8 have shoplifting arrests.

-       7 have fraud charges

-       19 have been accused of writing bad checks

-       71 have such bad credit they can’t qualify for a credit card.

And these are the individuals who have the audacity to subject the American public to a 2000 page health care reform bill at $1.055 trillion, or more simply put, a cost to the taxpayers between $125,000 to $1,000,000 per person depending which set of Obama numbers you use. The  end result will still leave many Americans uninsured and potentially prison bound for refusing the mandate. The Director of the Congressional Budget Office, Doug Elmendorf, stated the estimate of the $1.055 trillion price tag is preliminary and “subject to substantial uncertainty”.  He also went on to say, “Our judgment is that the piece of legislation would raise insurance premiums”.  According to previous trend analysis of government run programs, this will translate into $5-10 trillion in costs to taxpayers.

And what can you expect from the bill? According to the experts…..

-       Physicians fleeing the profession in droves.

-       Mandates with punitive actions if not followed.

-       Myriad of new taxes on citizens, doctors, drug companies, medical device makers, etc.

-       The devolution of medical and pharmaceutical life-saving advancements.

-       Bankrupt hospitals.

-       Bankrupting States.

-       Systematic loss of health care coverage for the old.

-       Massive increase of the federal deficit.

-       The death panels that did not exist, which were removed, are back in play.

And yet, yesterday our illustrious Congressional body who is known for leaving often and early……worked on Sunday. Yes, we need to be afraid……the Senate had another of their Sunday session and this time they only spent another $1.1 TRILLION. As they previously convinced America when they shoved through the last Stimulus bill, have to hurry….hurry, as everything else….get passed before the year end.  Just how much money will they allow us to keep after we get done paying this down http://www.usdebtclock.org/ ?

This new bill includes $447 billion in appropriations for a number of cabinet departments and $650 billion for Medicare and Medicaid. It combines six of the 12 annual spending bills Congress had been unable to pass separately because of Republican concerns that the measure is over inflated and exceeds the cost of inflation in its government budget increases. Do you think this group even has the ability to comprehend anymore? Oink, Oink….. Americans have made it clear this kind of irresponsible and EXCESSIVE spending is UNACCEPTABLE, but the Democrats can’t hear…..or just don’t care anymore….. or speeding up their progressive, Cloward-Piven strategy.

Obama promised during his campaign, fiscal responsibility. Any chance of a veto here……could he stand against his spend happy Congressional Democrats?
