Is the RNC the Party of the Past?

January 1, 2010 By Save America

It’s 2010 now……the year of our fight. We all need keep telling the Republican Party they better start doing the right thing for the American People, rather than saving money to then blow it on their off the wall expenditures instead of backing the REAL conservatives candidates.

Major GOP donors are calling for Jim Greer, Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida’s resignation. With his type of leadership, the GOP has no chance of being successful. He’s a detriment and must go, now!

Florida GOP leader faces revolt by top fundraisers

He failed to support congressional candidates Ed Lynch, Marion Thorpe and Col. Allen West in the 2008 run. These candidates had no help from the RPOF because Greer was spending the money on himself. He spent $45,458 for a jaunt to the “London Trade Mission” and another $3,657 for limos and guided tours while he was there.  His restaurant  tab was never less than $800.00. He attended the government sponsored Climate control conference in LA, and the RPOF paid a $10,000 registration fee so he could rub elbows with Crist and Schwarzenegger. Why did he have to attend, when we couldn’t even get yard signs for the McCain/Palin run?  And when Greer couldn’t get a seat on Palin’s plane during her campaign stops, he spent $12,000 for his own jet to make sure he was present when the cameras were rolling.  There’s more, but you get the picture. Now you know why Florida lost by three percentage points during the 2008 campaign, your donations spent on all the same stupid, self-serving, insaneness we are watching on a national level in Washington.

Money that was desperately needed  for our Florida candidates went to support an unethical lifestyle of a $2000 a night suite at the Breakers and $3,752 for cigars which were delivered to Greer’s home.

We can no longer tolerate this type of abandonment of our conservative candidates with expenditures going to support  a self-serving lifestyle.  The Republican Party is losing our trust and support and they look like they’re in bed with the Democrats in an effort to destroy our Republic.

Meanwhile, Democrats aren’t taking anything for granted and are swinging into action funneling national donations into Kennedy’s seat up in Massachusetts for Martha Coakley (D). A seat that could take away Harry Reid’s majority, at a crucial time in our countries history.  And, what has the National Republicans done for their candidate Scott Brown (R) who could help to drive a stake into the coffin of Obama care:

GOP lets Scott Brown fend for himself

The Tea Party Movement will continue to gain momentum. The RNC is going to be the party of the past if they don’t start to get control and implore higher ethical principles and values, and institute a genuine platform which embraces conservative candidates and principals.

We need people of integrity leading our nation and an RNC that is committed to returning  to  conservative principals. We need not compromise our values, yet stand firm on our core convictions of less government, less spending, less taxing with more freedom and respect for the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. If the GOP has any hope to become relevant again, it must halt its left-ward drift and return to conservatism. The party has lost its compass and we all need to guide it back to the principles that helped make this country great.
