Political Rebellion in America

January 21, 2010 By Save America

The age of information is in full bloom and Americans are thinking for themselves. America is no longer asleep, our apathy has been eradicated and the mainstream media smears and marginalizing no longer work.

I hope the Republicans are watching and taking notes because the Democrats are showing what a political party shouldn’t try and put upon the American people. The arrogance of politicians is no longer acceptable. We the  People have built this nation and created the wealth the politicians are wasting through force.  It’s an old playbook swelling the size of bureaucracy while shrinking the power of the economy and private sector.

As we saw this week in Massachusetts, American’s are not interested in following this playbook. The political class has become a group of out-of-touch manipulators who lack the ability to innovate and lead against the challenges which face our nation. This nation is changing, trying to frame the general movement of the nation as a Tea Party is misleading and another tactic to marginalize.

Private citizens of all political persuasion are rejecting the progressive policies and over-reaching government. This movement has grown too large to politically fit into one category. Chris Matthew and the likes will continually rant about “tea baggers” because they draw from the progressive agenda.

The Tea Party Movement is not monolithic and only one expression of the push against this national change the Obama administration has brought to America. In the sixties we saw an anti-establishment movement which fundamentally  was a reaction to the social problems. This burst of freedom was an attempt to turn away from politics while we suffered under Carter.  By the 80’s and moving forward, government has become so powerful and involved in every aspect of our lives…this resurgence is a move to slow down this growth of government power.

America has been incrementally moving toward progressivism/socialism for a long period of time. More government and more control over the economy and our private lives and behavior. The generations who understand the 60’s understand the philosophy of freedom.

The Tea Party Movement is not driven by uneducated racists from the south as this administration would like to nation to believe. This movement encompasses Americans from all walks of life who are beginning to realize the power of the private sector and how we need to prevent further encroachment  of big government.

Republicans need to understand this is not just a blip from a small, vocal group rather our nations demand to return to how this nation thinks about government and the private sector.  We need a government who turns to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and remains non-intervening.

If you’ve been paying attention, you’ve probably realized the political class is showing signs of mental incompetence. The political bullies have pushed one too many times, Massachusetts is just the beginning.

Presidential Tracking Poll

Thursday, July 29, 2010 The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -16. Twenty-eight percent (28%) believe the U.S. is generally heading in the right direction. A federal judge ruled yesterday to block implementation of the Arizona immigration law. Rasmussen Reports began polling last night to measure reaction and Platinum Members can get a heads up on the preliminary results. Most voters were opposed to the Justice Department’s legal action against Arizona. It is likely that the judge’s ruling will keep the issue alive, adding to an already difficult political environment for the Democrats.
