Waterboarding Favored Again

January  1, 2010 By Save America

Have we seen enough of this administration “new form of diplomacy”? Of course…….. when new polling numbers are showing just 30% are oppose to water boarding. In light of this year’s political correctness dealing with the radical Muslim terrorists, Americans choose survival.

According to Rasmussen 58% of U.S. voters say aggressive interrogation techniques such as water boarding should be used to gain information from the terrorist who attempted to bomb the Northwest flight to Detroit. Also, 71% of all voters think the attempt by Abdulmutallab to blow up the plane as it landed in Detroit should be investigated by military authorities as a terrorist act. Obama can’t be looking at the polling numbers with the push for civil trials. Then again, he couldn’t possibly care when only 22% of voters say it should be handled by civilian authorities as a criminal act…….as is currently the case.

Janet Napolitano, HSS has been forced now to backtrack on some of her earlier comments and assurances about the quality of their response to this issue because news reports have revealed that U.S. Intelligence had prior warnings about this bomber.

These numbers clearly indicate the U.S. legal systems current thrust in protecting individual rights fall short on what Americans want on the national security scene.

The majority of Americans (79%) now think there will be another terrorist attempt in the United States in this new year. This is a whooping 30 point jump from last August. In the wake of what happened on Christmas day, the belief that the terrorists are winning the war on terror is at its highest level.

As President Obama shuts down Gitmo, and the U.S.  is sending some of the detainees  back to Yemen, some have since return to terrorist activities. Reports indicate they may have helped train the  Detroit underwear jihad bomber.

America is tired of the political correctness when 63% say this is what prevented the military from responding to the warning signs as we saw from Major Nidal Malik Hasan which could have prevented the Fort Hood shootings from taking place.

In an interview with Jake Tapper and Janet Napolitano who asked, “ how did the Nigerian terrorist get abort the plane he attempted to blow up while being on a government watch list?”. The answer that came forth was, his name was in a database of people to watch, not a no-fly, high alert list….just a watch list with over 500,000 names on it. Just another glitch in the confusion surrounding this war on terror. If we are to depend on people like Napolitano to oversee our national security which requires someone of integrity, intelligence and a comprehensive knowledge of terrorism…….well, then she better understand who the terrorists are and treat them as such. Politics can not be the driving force…….this Nigerian would never have been allowed on the plan with material to make a bomb.

And yet, Obama hands over US Sovereignty and gives Interpol exemption from compliance with the Freedom of Information Act. Not much has been reported on this Executive Order 12425 that Obama signed before jetting off to Hawaii. This order gives foreign cops new police powers in the United States by exempting them from compliance with the Freedom of Information Act. This New World Order type policy is dangerous and allows Interpol the same privileges as diplomats.

This is a war, and we won’t win it with politics and handing over more favorable rights to foreign agencies than our own American law enforcement.

Presidential Tracking Poll

Thursday, July 29, 2010 The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -16. Twenty-eight percent (28%) believe the U.S. is generally heading in the right direction. A federal judge ruled yesterday to block implementation of the Arizona immigration law. Rasmussen Reports began polling last night to measure reaction and Platinum Members can get a heads up on the preliminary results. Most voters were opposed to the Justice Department’s legal action against Arizona. It is likely that the judge’s ruling will keep the issue alive, adding to an already difficult political environment for the Democrats.
