The Story of “Kill the Bill”

March 31, 2010 By Save America

“May God hold accountable the slanderers who are smearing the most loving, spontaneous, patriotic, genuinely American movement of political expression seen in generations. May the truth stand as a behemoth among the lies of this administration and the smear machine of the government-media complex. Behold, what really happened in DC on March 20 & 21, 2010…

Hear Us Now” The Story of The “Kill the Bill” Rally March 20 &21, 2010

On March 20th and 21st, 2010 history was made on Capitol Hill; two events which foreshadow Americas potential future. One was the passage, by use of the nuclear option, of radical, leftist healthcare legislation. The other was an unprecedented, spontaneous showing of opposition by ordinary, patriotic Americans, who, standing shoulder to shoulder, heralded the call for a new direction in American history. These two influential forces were on polar opposites of moral, philosophical, and political worldviews. One was forced through by a few left-wing elites using other people’s money, and the brute power of partisan politics, while the other was embraced by salt-of-the-earth, middle and working class Americans, who were not forced or funded, but with passionate conviction used hard-earned income to come from across the nation to be heard! Although reflecting diverse classes, races, genders, and interests, they were unified in their opposition to the radical agenda of the current administration.

Why did Tea Party protesters from many different grass roots movements go to DC?

They went to exercise their God-given right, as stated in the Constitution, to Petition the Government for a Redress of Grievances. The common thread of opposition expressed by these citizens, was based on appeals to personal freedom, political liberty, and fiscal responsibility. Put simply, they declared themselves free citizens of a republic, not willing to stand for Centralized Government hijacking a huge section of the economy. They believed an encroachment on free markets is an attack on freedom. They came to confront the duplicity of the fiscal projections of the legislation. History shows that all budgets for centralized health programs have exploded well beyond forecasts. They believed the CBO was fed manipulated numbers for a desired outcome. The Tea Partiers insisted We cannot afford this legislation!

What did Tea Party protesters do in DC?

On Sat, March 20th, they gathered on the west lawn of the capitol and had an energetic rally, attended by tens of thousands of citizens. NBC and MSNBC reported 1,500 to 2,000 in attendance. This was a bold lie. Survey this crowd, and consider the way Americas media lies to the public. They cannot be trusted! Capitol police have released a diagram whereby crowd size can be estimated. By this objective tool the attendance, indicated in dark red, measured between 40 and 50 thousand. After the rally they fanned out to visit their representatives offices. Few representatives supporting the bill were willing to open their office doors, and the citizens left notes pleading with them to vote NO. Representatives available to petition were hospitable and appreciated the visits. Eventually the protesters regrouped on the west lawn and began a march around the capitol complex. They surrounded the Capitol with a steady stream of singing, chanting citizens, for the first time in history. Then, as evening fell, they gathered en masse before the east steps and heard from various Representatives; as they sang, chanted, and prayed. Never has a grass-roots movement comprised of ordinary citizens been so patriotic; singing God bless America, America the Beautiful, The National Anthem, and reading from the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, the pledge of allegiance to the flag, and The Lord’s prayer. These are representative of the rallying cry of the movement. 60s radicals marched and protested, but it was against America as the Founders established it, Tea Partiers march and protest for the Founders vision! 60s radicals burned the flag, Tea Partiers pledge allegiance to it, they vilified the military, Tea partiers profoundly support it, they called the police pigs, we cheer the police, they promoted drug use and free sex, Tea Partiers celebrate traditional lifestyle and work ethic! 60s radicals said:

Without mass struggle there can be no revolution.
Without armed struggle there can be no victory.

But Tea Partiers kneeled down and prayed and then rose to hear quotes from our Founding Fathers, chanting Freedom, freedom, freedom!

On Sunday morning Tea Partiers gather on the west lawn for a worship service, then congregated on the south side to chant to the representatives as they walked to the Capitol building. After the parade of Representatives had ended, Tea Partiers came together on the south lawn and chanted towards the Capitol building.”

This is a wonderful piece and should be the theme for the Tea Party movement leading up to the elections in November. I urge everyone to pass this on to their friends.

    We will “Remember In November.”
