A head-on collision is approaching as the age of information and the Obama administration barrel along at full speed toward each other. Who’s to say whether the Afghanistan/Pakistan wikileaks are appropriate….internet realities are here to stay and nothing hides for long. Obama’s promise of transparency has long ago become a cliché, but it has become the rule of thumb in the information age. The question of what’s necessary to keep secret will be tested until there’s a valid answer.

Certainly politician’s taxes and business dealings aren’t top secret as we are about to see with Charlie Rangel, nor their aggression toward masseuses as Gore displayed, nor avoiding taxes as Kerry just showed all of us on his 76 foot New Zealand built yacht by keeping it registered in Rhode Island . So, how will the this administration respond to the information age players who become expert at uncovering lies and deceit? In a very real sense, they are dependent on the lies and deceit, if they lose control of information, they lose power.

Will Obama and his entourage become reactionary and begin to regulate websites that uncover information which threaten their power…more than likely. There needs to be a proactive resistance to the possibility of this type of looming censorship. A counter campaign is necessary for a healthy and free society, because they will use their best minds to begin rationalizing the need to regulate and control information.

Some of the liberal online activists who helped elect Obama to the White House aren’t happy and this last weekend at the Netroots Nation convention in Las Vegas they were not shy about airing their gripes. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, consoled the liberal activists who were disappointed by the final version of the health care law assuring them there would eventually be a public option. Ahh….the resurrection of the public option.

“We’re going to have a public option”, Reid voiced, “it’s just a question of when”. Transparency, right…more like we’ve shoved through a lot of stuff, but we still have a lot more..so campaign for us again.

So, is Obama out on a campaign to satisfy the liberal bloggers who helped elect him?

Most progressive activists have been quick to voice the need to push the agenda harder. So Obama was quick to address the convention acknowledging come of their concerns. This annual convention, once known as the YearlyKos, has become the signature event for the Democratic calendar to meet with the progressive bloggers whose influence grows stronger every passing year. With a critical push for the democratic base to come out and vote given the uphill battle their candidates are facing in the coming midterm elections, subjects on this year’s agenda during the convention were panels on “blogging a red state to blue” and “beyond the tweet”.

Typically, slanting us to look at the right hand so you don’t see what the left is up to, drafted out of public view the left wing lobbyist move to ram through Congress the “Disclose Act”, while bypassing committee hearings finance legislation earlier this week.

“At a Rose Garden press conference on Monday, President Obama decried the influence of “shadow groups” on elections and urged the Senate to pass the “reform” sponsored by N.Y. Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer. But the loophole-ridden package exempts large nonprofits with 500,000 or more members. Behemoth labor unions get preferential treatment. Bradley Smith, former Federal Elections Commission chairman, noted that the law places radical speech-squelching restrictions on companies’ ability to run independent political ads: “(I)f you’re a company with a government contract of over $10 million (like more than half of the top 50 U.S. companies) or if you’re a company with more than 20 percent foreign shareholders, you can’t even mention a candidate in an ad for up to a full year before the election. … There are no similar prohibitions for unions representing government contractors or unions with foreign membership.”

During Tuesday’s debate before the Senate, Sen. Mitch McConnell coined it as a “transparent attempt to rig the fall elections”. He went on to diagnosis it as, “jobs protection bill for entrenched incumbents more interested in protecting their hides than the Constitution”. Lib chieftain Sen. Schumer vowed to resurrect this issue when the cloture vote fell three votes short of the 60 needed. This is just another example of the Democratic majority’s endless hide and seek hypocrisy up on the hill.

While Obama and his minions want to feign alarm over the proliferation of fake rightwing grassroots groups surging across the nation, here are a few more that purposely won’t appear anytime soon on his teleprompter:

-Consumers Organize for Reliable Electricity: David Axelrod formed this front group to push for a massive utility tax hike championed by Commonwealth Edison in his hometown Chicago.

-Health Care for America Now: Funded by George Soros and SEIU, this liberal lobbying conglomerate projects itself as street-based “grassroots”.

-American Public Policy Committee: This is an umbrella group whose mission is to attack tea party activists by a group of union and progressive lobbyists run by Craig Varoga supported by big Washington bucks.

-Americans for Stable Quality Care: This coalition funded by Big Pharma, AARP, AMA and SEIU with $150 million for pre-Obama health care ads all while passing themselves off with the illusion of grassroots support.

-American Rights at Work: Which is the far-left, pro-big labor lobbying group who Hilda Solis (Obama’s Labor Secretary) served as treasurer, while as a congresswomen – which she failed to disclose while lobbying for the Big Labor card-check bill she was sponsoring.

Two years of Obama and his allies touting about transparency…filled with backdoor kickbacks, midnight floor votes, big labor deals, C-SPAN camera evasion, etc….. while they promised America’s right to know and championed open access. Yeah right…….. remember this: http://www.changefor2012.com/2009/09/the-soros-connection/ ?

“You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time…..but, you can not fool all of the people all of the time.” Abraham Lincoln

How many of you are asking yourself right about now if Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America lately? Is he the Messiah as many had hoped?

President Obama made history when he became the first African American elected to the nation’s top office with 53% of the vote, or nearly 67 million voters. Early on in his presidency he enjoyed a 70% approval rating, that number has now fallen.

Despite the poll numbers which are the lowest approval ratings among recent Presidents, perhaps history will be kind and reflect Obama as the catalyst of America’s swing back to greatness. He has pushed the country into levels of debt which none of us could have ever imagined, he’s nationalized health care regardless of fierce resistance nationwide, unemployment is unacceptably high and is slated to remain this way for the next decade, TARP bailouts and stimulus spending have shown little effect on our national economy, he’s pushed unprecedented entitlement programs which are at unsustainable levels, he’s been hell bent on sound bites to create a racial divide, he’s offered up a self-serving agenda about immigration reform, he’s displayed a deliberate delay of handling the gulf oil spill, and now with the passing of the Financial Reform Bill we have taken further steps toward the abyss. This last passage is not about regulation, this is state sponsorship, this is pure statism. This is a disaster, and the disaster will be clear in the weeks and months ahead as we watch the lock come down on the American money as the regulators take over.

We are watching the slow boil of seething anger in the populace. The simple fact is that there is a lot of anger and frustration out there aimed squarely at Washington, and with good reason. So has Barack Obama been a good thing for America?

First Lady Michelle Obama added to the agenda this week riling up the convention crowd with her idea of black vs. white America while speaking to the NAACP’s National Convention in Kansas City. She advanced the idea of two Americas: “When African American communities are still hit harder than just about anywhere by this economic downturn, and so many families are just barely scraping by, I think the founders would tell us that now is not the time to rest on our laurels. When stubborn inequalities still persist — in education and health, in income and wealth — I think those founders would urge us to increase our intensity, and to increase our discipline and our focus and keep fighting for a better future for our children and our grandchildren.”

“We are living today in a time where we’re decades beyond slavery, we are decades beyond Jim Crow; when one of the greatest risks to our children’s future is their own health. African American children are significantly more likely to be obese than are white children. Nearly half of African American children will develop diabetes at some point in their lives. People, that’s half of our children.”

Further, why would the Department of Justice side with the New Black Panthers against voters who just want to exercise their right to vote?

Average Americans who have quietly gone about their lives, working, enjoying their families, spending weekends doing what they like best, have now gotten off the fence. They’ve definitely awoken, there is a level of political activism now so beyond what we’ve seen in the past. Barack Obama has been the catalyst who has sparked the consciousness, he’s ripped the lid off a seething cauldron of dissatisfaction on unrest.

Slowly we’ve learned to tolerate unjust policies as we went on with our lives. Over the last fifty years liberalism has sought to restructure America which was the symbol of freedom and liberty to all people of the world. Our welfare policies has encouraged irresponsibility, the fracturing of families and a cycle of dependency. Debt was regarded as the excelsior to lubricate the economy. Legislators believe Americans cannot be trusted to defend their own homes and continually attack second amendment rights to own firearms. Our children have been taught they are exceptional while many cannot perform basic functions of mathematics and literacy.

And now, America has former communists in paid government positions in the White House who advised our President daily. Terrorists are read their Miranda rights and given free lawyers. Auto companies are taken over and the auto workers union whose contracts make no economic sense is rewarded with a stake in the company. Government bails out the investment bankers and insurance companies who pay their executives outrageous bonuses. One year ago Lehman Brothers was allowed to fail and then the world economy collapsed. Government regulators missed all of the obvious warning signs, as bankers over-leveraged their companies and were richly paid in return. This forced the government to pump billions of taxpayer dollars into the financial industry. And the coup de grais, Barack Obama pushed a health care plan that will restructure one-sixth of our economy.

But it is “the economy stupid.” Deficits from growing health care costs, government stimulus packages, bank and auto bailouts, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are adding trillions to the national debt. Why do we still have troops based all over the world? Why do we still pay out so much in foreign aid? Huge deficits are likely to lead to serious inflation and higher taxes. They are being underwritten by China and Japan, and threaten to severely weaken America globally. Our children and grandchildren will be left with a legacy of debt and serious problems.

And, what is Obama busily working on today, a new bill, called the Cruise Line Vessel Security and Safety Act of 2009 … … Cruise ship safety is now the concern of Congress and President Obama. … requiring the cruise industry to comply with many new regulations, yep, higher railings, video surveillance systems, cabin door peep holes, etc. Does anyone else see this as priorities skewed? I thought so……..

You either believe in a Constitutionally limited government, a free market and individual rights or you don’t. It’s ok if you don’t…this is still America, we have choices. But, don’t play some silly game believing there is some kind of intelligent compromise. Literally millions of Americans have had enough. They’re organizing, they are studying the Constitution and the Federalist papers. They’re showing up at rallies and meetings, and a ton of conservative candidates are jumping into the race. There is a keen awareness that our priorities and sensibilities must be radically restructured. Americans are moving to a period of reflection. Just as the pendulum swung to embrace “political correctness” there will be a backlash….a repudiation of the liberal nonsense. Politicians are too focused on scoring short term political points and securing corporate donations for their campaign. This is the most serious political problem facing our nation today, and there is no incentive or willingness to change the status quo. No wonder everyone is so angry.

As a defender of free markets, individual rights and limited government…….. will history perceive November of 2010 as the time when America got back of the right footing? As many have previously stated, maybe we should thank Barack Hussein Obama.

Has Obama sent more people to the Gulf to suppress the story than to clean up the mess?

On July 3rd, Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen issued a new rule that does not allow the media or anyone with cameras to get closer than 65 feet to any response vessel or boom without the permission for the Coast Guard Captain of the Port of New Orleans. Violations of this rule carries a $40,000 fine and a Class D Felony charge. While we have seen the media blackout evolve, no fly zones initiated, etc. over the time line of this disaster, this latest action is especially alarming. With the issuance of this ban, the cover-up of the BP Gulf Oil Spill now directly violates the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The alarming part is they aren’t even hiding it.

In case you’ve forgotten, here is the text of the First Amendment of the US Constitution, which is a part of the Bill of Rights.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. “

This amendment ensures that Freedom of Speech is not violated by making sure the media can operate without the interference from an overreaching government. Yet, this is exactly what we are seeing here, interference by the Government on behalf of a corporation that is directly infringing upon the Freedom of the Press.

While America is ending plans to return to the moon, in addition to scrapping the successor to the space shuttle, cancelling the agency’s Constellation program, redirecting NASA to study, “climate change”/”global warming”….now, the coup de grais of NASA receiving direct Presidential orders to have a Muslim love fest. Remind me, when did international diplomacy become within NASA’s orbit? Doesn’t the “S” stand for Space? Just more remnants from the Obama Cairo junket.

Let’s be “perfectly clear” here, Obama couldn’t be speaking more loudly or clearly about his intentions or his vision for the United States and its place in the world. The NASA fiasco alone tells it all. But, add in the federal government in conjunction with Mexico suing Arizona over immigration enforcement, canning the missile defense shield, printing Monopoly money hand over fist, isolating and rejecting Israel, favoring Unions, taking over private industries, the Democrats drooling over a VAT, Holder shelving the Black Panther intimidations, the list goes on and on.

If my guess is right, voter turnout will be historically high this year and in 2012. If so, we’ll have a divided government going into 2011. There will be pressure for the government to govern in a more limited fashion because of the influence coming from the independent voter.

America became lazy, too trusting of government and too apathetic because of a sense of powerlessness. But, the internet and protest movements have given the public confidence in its ability to create change. We might be a pluralistic country which is culturally changing, but the blood of basic American principles still run deep in our veins….even if these principles are not clearly identified. I believe it’s a mixture of limited government, conservatives and the classic independent spirit. Reminiscent of the Hamilton/Jefferson mixture, which sans the failed and thoroughly discredited socialist and authoritarian influences beginning at the turn of the 20th century.

It’s a common sense mixture, uniquely American and representative of a unique country that can do pretty well when we work together and build rather than destroy….when we make our way rather than weakly submit to power.

Wake up America, remember in November.

June 29, 2010 By Save America

There is hardly anyone in government or currently running for office who can communicate the principles of limited government, a free market and the protection of individual rights with a straight-forward voice. There are Republican candidates giving lip-service and few who really embrace the principles. While it’s true many of the candidates use the right words and claim to be for a limited government, they go no further to explicate their positions of actually doing anything to limit the growth of government, or empower the free market and work to protect your individual rights. These masked candidates must be expose if we have any hope of getting out of this current mess. We all have a personal responsibility this election to understand before we endorse. We deserve more from our elected representatives.

We need candidates who will re-educate regarding a free market. This takes knowledgeable individuals standing up and speaking clearly about the principles that are being overshadowed and victimized by this current administration. The public needs to understand there is a viable alternative to bring us back from the road to serfdom by this current overreaching government. Young liberals need to know that the status quo, more less the upsurge of progressives has mislead them. The gatekeepers and the new progressive politicians are protecting a power structure through government growth.

Our country needs clear platforms and voices which will reach the young liberals and confused conservatives who’ve been taught the constitution is outdated, in order to present a new vision. And, not just a conservative call to protect tradition. America needs a vision of freedom within the constraints of the Constitution that will reach all generational levels. Many have been taught to think the Constitution is restrictive and will block progress. Yet, all the Constitution does is restrict government and free the private sector to innovate and progress. If a society is free to choose its values then a free market can lead to growth in the private sector and restore a stable economic environment. But, we have to have freedom to pursue our moral paths and create and produce a better life. The current path of living a government issued life is not the right path.

Obama’s actions are revealing an ideology which is counter to economic growth. Do we need Republicans who show a lack of courage by going along with what they see as a populist anger against big business? While there may be evidence the public is angry at some large corporations, an alliance of big corporation and government will not lead us to end corporate favoritism and hang on to a free market. Republicans need to stand up rather than lie down. The Tea Party will embrace such actions.

The Tea Party movement is a reaction to this government’s dis-empowerment of the private sector and gradual assault on our personal liberties. While many want to preserve liberty and choice, many become invested in government as a means to deal with societal problems and control perceived problems of capitalism. Many have a selfish investment as a means of protection where livelihoods depend of government protection and subsidies. It’s your choice.

It’s time to step back and assess the role of government and the potential of the private sector. There is overwhelming information available that government intervention in the economy is paralyzing the market, which leads high unemployment not to disappear too soon. Europe is beginning to realize how damaging Obama’s policies have been and are stepping away from his advice.

The American public needs to realize we have to start limiting government power. Do your homework this election and don’t be taken in by a slick marketing campaign. Don’t defend the indefensible.

Previously, the communist movement was made up of disparate factions of various national, ethnic, and even religious flavors. What emerged from this congress of communist revolutionaries was a united movement. Following the meeting in London, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels took up the task of forging the preeminent radical polemic of the international socialist, the Communist Manifesto. Their movement thenceforth, and to the detriment of civilization, moved forward as a united international juggernaut. The communist’s drive to organize themselves into an ideological powerhouse was not the first of its kind, but one that profoundly influenced much of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Multi-national political movements are indeed an old concept. It should strike us as curious then that there has never been, as far as I can tell, an international movement focused on the tenets of individual liberty. Perhaps this is owed, in part, to the fact that those who advocate for liberty tend to be individualists, preferring self-sufficiency and individual effort to the collective mobilization that is inherent in large movements. Whatever the reason, it appears that while other, more destructive movements have risen to the international stage, the liberty movement has lagged in its ability to organize in such a way.

While there have indeed been revolutions inspired by the ideas of liberty they more often than not were limited to national stages and were of varying levels of success. The American Revolution, which acts as the primary inspiration for our current Tea Party movement, is the clearest example of the success of these ideas, but there have also been revolutions, similarly inspired, that failed to achieve the ends of they had set out to achieve. The French Revolution, for example, was inspired in large part by the same philosophy as the American, but it fell victim to revolutionary excesses and violence. Post-revolutionary France fell into a state of bedlam until the rise of the dictatorial Napoleon put the final nail in the coffin of their revolution.

While international organization might have been deficient for the liberty movement historically, it appears that that is on the verge of changing. For the first time, there appears to be a growing international liberty movement, springing forth from the roots of our current American civic reawakening.

In recent months, inspired by what they are observing here in the states, Tea Party organizations have begun to rise in up the furthest corners of the world. While these organizations might have different concerns, ones that are specific to their particular nations, it is clear that each has formed around the same concepts: limited governance and individual liberty.

Ironically it was England, who in the 18th century was at the unpleasant end of a Tea Party, which was the first outside of the US to hold a Tea Party rally, launching their national movement in February of this year. In addition, Tea Party organizations have popped up in Ireland, the Netherlands, Australia, and Japan. Most recently, we have learned that Israel is planning on staging its first Tea Party in Tel-Aviv.

This nascent international movement owes its rise to several factors: First, the financial collapse has sent ripples throughout the economies of most western nations. In doing so, many people have begun to question the ability of governments to effectively control their economies. Ideas like central banking, heavily regulated industries, and progressive taxation appear more and more to be the cause of our current crisis rather than the solution.

Second, modern communication has allowed us to transmit news and ideas in a way that is historically unprecedented. Our ability to network with one another has been a key to the national Tea Parties and is central to the growth of the international movement a well.

Finally, the international Tea Parties are most certainly a reaction to the international progressivism that has been the dominant force in politics for several decades now. Western nations have given in to the temptation of establishing generous welfare states that have caused the slow decay of society from within. The results of these policies can be seen all over Europe including states that are in what might be considered to be long economic dormancies, as well as those that are in danger of full collapse, as in the case in Greece.

Cumulatively, these factors have made the landscape ripe for a movement that rejects the precept that big governments are prepared to take on the burdens they currently shoulder.

An international liberty movement is an idea whose time has come. As a matter of fact, it is one that’s long overdue. We are truly living in interesting times.

The Charlie Brown Syndrome

In the famous Charles Schulz comic strip, Peanuts, Charlie Brown is enticed every year by Lucy to placekick a football that she volunteers to hold for him. Charlie runs down the field toward his beguiling friend, who is holding the football on the ground, and swings his leg in a huge arching kick. But at the last moment Lucy jerks the football away and Charlie flies through the air to land on his back with a loud thump and the scream of “Aaugh!” Every year, Lucy convinces Charlie to try another kick, promising not to pull the football away like she did last time. And every year, Charlie runs down the field and Lucy jerks the football away at the last moment with Charlie falling on his famous fanny.

Why does Charlie continue to fall for Lucy’s con? Because Charlie is a good-natured chap, but gullible about human nature. This priceless scene, which played out every year from the 1950s to 2000 in newspapers all over the world, is metaphor for that exasperating trait of large amounts of humans to fall for the beguiling promises of their fellowmen who seek something from them. Much of history is made — from the daily mundane events of our personal lives to the grand, epochal affairs of nations — because of this naïve trust that so many humans have in the professed benevolence of persuasive fellow humans who wish to enlist their support for a cause, a vote, a job, a war, a venture, a romance, etc. The world is full of guile because it is full of fools. Thus life for us as individuals and societies keeps running off the road into messy ditches of disaster.

America is no stranger to the ditches along with the fools who persist in driving us there; and the world of politics is an excellent arena to demonstrate this fact. For over four decades now from 1968 to 2010, the Republican Party hierarchy has been playing the role of Lucy to Charlie Brown conservatives. Every election year GOP politicians promise to millions of traditional conservatives among the party that if they will donate their money, time and votes to elect them, they as Republicans will vigorously challenge the “horrid Democrats” who are obtusely driving America into ditches of disaster. But year after year, just like conniving Lucy, the Republicans we send to Washington go back on their promises and proceed to do as the Democrats do.

Where the Right Has Gone Wrong

Do conservatives show any signs of ever learning from this? Unfortunately, no. They continue to do what Charlie Brown always did. They buy into Lucy’s con. They agree to cooperate with Republican beguilers giving them valuable money, time and votes. This is happening once again as we head for 2012. The Charlie Brown conservatives are insisting that we must cooperate with the Lucy Republicans of Washington. As if the likes of Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Sarah Palin are suddenly going to become Jeffersonians and start fighting for strictly limited government. That will happen when mules qualify to run in the Kentucky Derby.

As Patrick Buchanan tells us in his book, Where the Right Went Wrong, “Robert Taft Republicanism is dead… There is no conservative party in Washington. There is a Democratic Party of tax-and-spend, and a Republican Party of guns and butter and tax cuts, too. Washington is all accelerator, the brakes are gone.”

“Republicans believe they have found the Rosetta Stone of American politics, the key to the permanent retention of power: Cut taxes consistently, and don’t let Democrats outspend you. As Dick Cheney told a stunned Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill, ‘Deficits don’t matter.’”

“Lobbying groups, manned by conservative activists, have now been set up in Washington to steer clients to the right GOP congressman to get their pet projects funded by taxpayers…. Everybody gets his or her slice of pork, so long as everyone votes for everyone else’s slice.”

“What is the difference” asks Buchanan, “between the compassionate conservatism of George W. Bush and the Great Society liberalism of Lyndon Johnson?”

There is no difference whatsoever. Why is this horrendous profligacy taking place? Because the Democrats and Republicans have a monopoly over the ideas that feed the populace at election time. Statist-collectivist ideology dominates the electoral process and the TV Presidential Debates through the bogus two-party system. Both parties work for the relentless expansion of government to handle all problems. Both parties enshrine egalitarianism. Both utilize Keynesian economics. Both practice wealth redistribution. Both legislate Nanny State cradle-to-grave security. Both espouse open borders. Both tolerate the subordination of American sovereignty to the goal of one-world government. This has been going on for over 40 years ever since Richard Nixon dumped the Goldwater revolution into the Potomac and showed how to win power by becoming Democratic clones.

In other words, the Lucy Republicans have been jerking the football away from the Charlie Brown conservatives for over four decades. And still the gullible conservatives among the GOP buy into the disingenuousness of Republican promises every election year. When does reality set in? When do the Charlie Brown conservatives wake up and realize they are being played by the Gingrichs, Steeles, Roves and Romneys — the political Lucys of Washington.

Rejecting the Snare and Delusion
There is a solution to this fools’ game. It consists of facing reality and cutting the umbilical cord that draws freedom advocates into the Republican trap every election year. It will necessitate accepting that we no longer have a “two-party system.” As Buchanan puts it, “Our vaunted two-party system is a snare and delusion. Our two parties have become nothing but two wings of the same bird of prey.”

What we, who believe in freedom and constitutional government, must do is face up to this reality instead of clinging so naively every election year to the empty promises of Republican Lucys. We must forge a new political party — a conservative party of our own! But not a party that preaches utopianism to the choir and garners 1% of the vote as the Constitution Party and the Libertarian Party do every year.

We need a REAL third-party that can get 38% of the vote, which would win in a three man race. Contrary to conventional thinking this is now possible. For example, all recent polls show the Democrats and Republicans each getting 30% of the electorate. For the first time since Gallup began asking the question in 1992, says USA Today, 40% of voters declare themselves to be Independent.

What is the source of this profound shift in sentiment? Big, arrogant government and 1) its egregious debt pyramiding, 2) its criminal expropriation of middle class wealth to subsidize Wall Street fat cats, 3) its refusal to check the alien invasion of illegal immigration from Mexico, and 4) the monstrous socialized health-care bill that it so haughtily insisted on ramming down our throats, and which will bring intolerable convolution and misery rather than ease and benefit to our lives.

Thus in today’s political climate so outraged with Washington, if a conservative third-party was geared to end the above four tyrannical policies, it could easily draw 20% from the Independents, 15% from the GOP, and 5% from Blue Dog Democrats, which would be 40% of the vote. Even if the remaining Independent vote of 20% splits 12% in favor of Democrats and only 8% for Republicans, that still would leave the Democrats with only 37%, the Republicans with 23%, and our third-party with 40%. Voila! Victory for conservatives and libertarians. Victory for freedom and smaller government.

A New Political Paradigm
I have written a book that demonstrates how to do this, The Conservative Revolution: Why We Must Form a Third Political Party to Win It. It puts forth a cogent reform plan for our tax and monetary systems that will stop the runaway freight train of government growth and restore sanity to the land. It shatters the myth that we must, at all costs, eschew third-party efforts and “remain within the GOP.” It shows how to unify millions of conservatives, libertarians and independents into one party — the Conservative American Party. Its revolutionary reform plan will dramatically challenge the Washington establishment and bring about a pervasive political realignment equivalent to the Republican displacement of the Whigs in the mid-19th century.

The ideological forces of the past 40 years have been steadily building toward such a paradigmatic challenge, and the world’s present economic crisis is the catalyst that can bring it about. The rising disenchantment we see throughout the American heartland is conservative-libertarian disenchantment. We need to tap into it. The Republican Lucys will continue to do what they are programmed to do — default on their promises. But we as conservatives need to quit playing the role of gullible Charlie Browns. We need a political party of our own! We need to become heroic patriots again. This is the only approach and attitude that can bring salvation to America.

Born Jan. 1, 1946, the Tooth Fairy is survived by 400 million children living largely in North America and Western Europe, known collectively as “The Baby Boomers.” “We’ll certainly miss the Tooth Fairy,” one of them said following her death, which coincided with the 2010 British elections and rioting in Greece. The Tooth Fairy had only one surviving sibling who will now look after her offspring alone: Mr. Bond Market of Wall Street and the City of London.

Sitting in America, it’s hard to grasp the importance of the British elections and the Greek riots. Nothing to do with us, right? Well, I’d pay attention to the drama playing out here. It may be coming to a theater near you.

The meta-story behind the British election, the Greek meltdown and our own Tea Party is this: Our parents were “The Greatest Generation,” and they earned that title by making enormous sacrifices and investments to build us a world of abundance. My generation, “The Baby Boomers,” turned out to be what the writer Kurt Andersen called “The Grasshopper Generation.” We’ve eaten through all that abundance like hungry locusts.

Now we and our kids together need to become “The Regeneration” — one that raises incomes anew but in a way that is financially and ecologically sustainable. It will take a big adjustment.

We baby boomers in America and Western Europe were raised to believe there really was a Tooth Fairy, whose magic would allow conservatives to cut taxes without cutting services and liberals to expand services without raising taxes. The Tooth Fairy did it by printing money, by bogus accounting and by deluding us into thinking that by borrowing from China or Germany, or against our rising home values, or by creating exotic financial instruments to trade with each other, we were actually creating wealth.

Greece, for instance, became the General Motors of countries. Like G.M.’s management, Greek politicians used the easy money and subsidies that came with European Union membership not to make themselves more competitive in a flat world, but more corrupt, less willing to collect taxes and uncompetitive. Under Greek law, anyone in certain “hazardous” jobs could retire with full pension at 50 for women and 55 for men — including hairdressers who use a lot of chemical dyes and shampoos. In Britain, everyone over 60 gets an annual allowance to pay heating bills and can ride any local bus for free. That’s really sweet — if you can afford it. But Britain, where 25 percent of the government’s budget is now borrowed, can’t anymore.

Britain and Greece are today’s poster children for the wrenching new post-Tooth Fairy politics, where baby boomers will have to accept deep cuts to their benefits and pensions today so their kids can have jobs and not be saddled with debts tomorrow. Otherwise, we’re headed for intergenerational conflict throughout the West.

David Willetts, a British Conservative candidate and the author of a new book, “The Pinch: How the baby boomers took their children’s future — and how they can give it back,” told me that the Tories’ most effective campaign ad was a poster showing a newborn baby under the headline: “Dad’s eyes, Mum’s nose, Gordon Brown’s debt.” Beneath was the caption: “Labour’s debt crisis: Every child in Britain is born owing £17,000. They deserve better.”

What is most striking about the British election, said John Micklethwait, editor in chief of The Economist, was that it may be the first Western election “based on pain.” All the leading candidates warned voters that “cuts are coming,” but none were even close to honest about how deep.

Here is how The Financial Times described it on April 26: “The next government will have to cut public sector pay, freeze benefits, slash jobs, abolish a range of welfare entitlements and take the ax to programs such as school building and road maintenance.” Too bad no party won a majority mandate in the British elections to do this job.

After 65 years in which politics in the West was, mostly, about giving things away to voters, it’s now going to be, mostly, about taking things away. Goodbye Tooth Fairy politics, hello Root Canal politics.

It’s no fun. Just ask Greek parliamentarians, who, in the wake of announcing radical austerity measures, found their Parliament besieged by rioting anti-austerity protestors reportedly chanting, “Burn it down! That brothel Parliament!”

My takeaway is that U.S. and European politicians — please don’t laugh — are going to have to get a lot smarter and more honest.

To be the Regeneration, they’ll have to figure out how to raise some taxes to increase revenues, while cutting other taxes to stimulate growth; they’ll have to cut some services to save money, while investing in new infrastructure to grow economic capacity. We have got to use every dollar wisely now. Because we’ve eaten through our reserves, because the lords of discipline, the Electronic Herd of bond traders, are back with a vengeance — and because that Tooth Fairy, she be dead.

Obama File 102 America’s Little Lenin? Joel Rogers and the Obama Movement.

It is becoming increasingly clear that Barack Obama did not create a movement. A movement created Barack Obama.
One of the key leaders of that movement is a Madison, Wisconsin, law professor and sociologist - Joel Rogers.
While not widely known outside “progressive” circles, few people have exercised more influence in more strands of the movement that selected and elected Barack Obama, than has Joel Rogers.
Obama’s former “Green Jobs” Czar, the Marxist-Leninist Van Jones has been part of Rogers’ network for some years.
Rogers has served with Jones on the board of the Apollo Alliance , a radical led coalition of green groups and labor unions that had considerable input in writing Obama’s massive “stimulus package”. Rogers has served as Senior Policy Adviser to Jones’ Oakland based Green For All – the Northern California affiliate of the Apollo Alliance.
In the video below Van Jones, takes time in his address to the January 2009 Mayors Innovation Project conference to praise his friend Rogers.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Jones points out three “great gifts” that Joel Rogers “has given our movement”.

Firstly, there is “a new economic model …high road development …the best thinking that he represents is now reflected in the White House.”

Secondly , “...the New Party, which is now the Working Families Party…the idea of a ‘new politics’ that you could actually have in this country bringing together labor, civil rights, feminists…and actually make a difference…is the basic framework for what just took over the White House.”

Thirdly, …”his idea of a new energy paradigm. His founding the Apollo Alliance. I believe the stimulus is going to put something like $80 billion in this direction…”

Jones credits Rogers with dreaming up the White House economic model – basically a 21st century “green” version of corporate socialism. Rogers also allegedly masterminded the electoral alliance that put Obama in the driver’s seat. He then founded the organization that helped write the “stimulus bill”, which is now funneling billions into a movement primarily designed to keep the Obama and the Democrats in power.

That’s a lot of influence for one man. Does Van Jones exaggerate? Let’s investigate.

The New Party which Rogers and Dan Cantor founded in the early 90s, was an attempt to to unite the poor, Blacks, Latinos , labor and “community groups” to work with and inside the Democratic Party to elect large numbers of leftist candidates to public office.

The party was essentially amalgam of four organizations -radical Washington DC “think tank” the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS), Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).

The first strategic meetings to plan the New Party were held in Joel Rogers’ home in Madison Wisconsin in the very early 1990s. Present were Rogers’ wife Sarah Siskind, Dan Cantor (now leading the New party spin-off Working Families Party in New York) , ACORN leaders Wade Rathke , Zach Polett , Steve Kest and Jon Kest and IPS linked activists Steve Cobble , Harriet Barlow and Sam Pizzigati .

The very first meeting included Gerry Hudson from DSA and SEIU and early ACORN leader and IPS affiliate Gary Delgado. Anthony Thigpenn, from Los Angeles was also approached, but though supportive, did not wish to play a leadership role.

Incidentally, both Delgagdo and Thigpenn were later supporters of Van Jones’ anti Iraq War magazine War Times.

The party was socialist in character, but only revealed its true nature to friends.

In March 28-30 1997 Democratic Socialists of America convened their annual Socialists Scholars Conference at Borough of Manhattan Community College, New York. Barack Obama, incidentally, attended some of these conferences in the early 1980s.

The 1997 conference was themed “Radical alternatives on the eve of the millenium”.

Invitees were asked to join the debate on “changes in the labor movement, Marxist theory, the state of the economy, market socialism, and other areas where theory and practice meet…listen to the United States’ only independent and socialist congressman, Rep. Bernie Sanders…”dialogue with Joel Rogers of the New Party… ”

Barack Obama joined the New Party in Chicago, during his 1995 Illinois State Senate run. Obama was also a leader of the Chicago New Party sister organization , Progressive Chicago, as far back as 1993. Other Progressive Chicago leaders included Keith Kelleher of SEIU and ACORN, Kelleher’s wife, Madeline Talbott (ACORN) and Ron Sable, Danny K . Davis and Lou Pardo of DSA.

The New Party relied on “fusion” voting for its success. Candidates ran on both the Democrat and New Party lines, combing the vote totals from both. This practice was illegal in many states, so in 1997, Rogers and his wife Sarah Siskind took a case to the Supreme Court seeking to overturn the state bans.

According to the The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel December 5, 1996;

With allusions to possible electoral chaos, justices of the U.S. Supreme Court expressed skepticism Wednesday over an effort to overturn 40 state laws that forbid nominations of the same candidate by more than one political party.

The high court heard arguments in a case from Minnesota that was orchestrated by a Wisconsin couple Joel Rogers, a University of Wisconsin-Madison law professor, and his wife, Madison attorney Sarah E. Siskind.

Rogers is a co-founder and national chair of the New Party, which describes itself as progressive and claims 10,000 members nationwide. The party has elected candidates for local offices in Wisconsin and elsewhere.

The case failed and ‘”fusion” voting was ruled unconstitutional. Deprived of its main tactic, the New Party, went into sharp decline, surviving under the Working Families Party banner in New York and a few other states.

Coincidentally, Sarah Siskind worked for the the Madison Wisconsin office of Barack Obama’s Chicago law firm, Miner, Barnhill and Galland.

In 2002 Sarah Siskind represented ACORN in a successful class action against sub-prime mortgage lender Household Finance Corporation.

According to Miner, Barnhill and Galland.;

For the last ten years, the firm (principally Sarah Siskind) has also represented individual consumers and organizational plaintiffs in class action lawsuits challenging predatory lending practices. These include a series of deceptive practices actions brought in Illinois, California and Massachusetts against Household Finance Corporation, and recently consolidated in In re Household Lending Litigation, Case No. C-02-1240 and Related Cases, N.D. Ca.) and settled for $152 million in benefits and future practice change relief…

Siskind won a settlement against Household Finance Corporation which gave delinquent borrowers interest rate reductions, waivers of unpaid late charges, deferral of accrued unpaid interest and principal reductions.
It was a socialist “win-win” situation. Siskind and Miner, Barhill & Galland made money, ACORN was able to force another mortgage lender to make more soft loans to its “core constituency” and the 2008 sub-prime mortgage collapse was brought one step closer.
Some commentators have surmised that some socialists leftists, working through ACORN and similar groups may have deliberately promoted sub- prime lending as a way of creating economic chaos, thereby provoking a subsequent increase in government involvement in the economy.
They point to the now famous Cloward-Piven Strategy devised in th e 1960s by Richard Cloward and his wife Frances Fox Piven. The “Cloward-Piven” plan involved enrolling as many people as possible onto state welfare programs. The point was to overload and collapse the state systems, leading to a Federal takeover of welfare.
Interestingly, when Richard Cloward died in 2001, 500 people gathered at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City to celebrate his life and work. Speakers included Frances Fox Piven, Barbara Ehrenreich, Cornel West, (all New Party founders and DSA members) Gus Newport (DSA member) Howard Zinn (New Party founder) , Joel Rogers and Miles Rapoport.
Coincidentally Rapoport was the president of the New York based “think tank” Demos, an official partner organization of the Institute for Policy Studies and a close ally of ACORN.
Barack Obama helped establish Demos in 1999-2000 and became a Trustee of the organization. Van Jones also later served as a Demos Trustee, but is currently on leave.
In 1998 Chicago DSA activist and IPS affiliate James Weinstein presided over a major Chicago “Back to Basics” conference designed to re-align the U.S. left back to “class politics”

To explore how we (the Left) can increase our presence in the mainstream of American political and intellectual life.

Speakers included Dr. Quentin Young (DSA member , New Party founder , Barack Obama long time friend , mentor and physician) Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz (a San Francisco based activist and comrade of Van Jones’), plus DSA comrades Christine Riddiough, Joseph Schwartz and Roberta Lynch.

Joel Rogers, founder of The New Party, listed people’s concerns: education, campaign finance reform, environment, raising the minimum wage, and concern about global capitalism. Neither Democrats nor Republicans take this list seriously. Liberalism relied on favorable government regulation and mass politics to deal with problems. A new time calls for new politics, emphasizing economic strategy, citizen participation, and electoral strategy.

In 2004, Joel Rogers from the Center On Wisconsin Strategy, and Robert Borosage from IPS enlisted DSA friendly Steelworkers President Leo Gerard and SEIU President Andy Stern, to propose a new alliance of labor, environmental groups, business and “social justice” leaders – the Apollo Alliance. The Alliance, which soon included over 200 supporting organizations, released a report “High Road or Low Road? Job Quality in the New Green Economy” arguing for a ten-year program of investment in a “clean energy, good jobs” economy.”

Joel Rogers was the Alliance’s founding chairman and continues to serve on its board. Borosage is also a board member, as is Leo Gerard. John Podesta from the Center for American Progress also serves, but took a break while co-chairing President Obama’s “transition”, where he

“coordinated the priorities of the incoming administration’s agenda, oversaw the development of its policies, and spearheaded its appointments of major cabinet secretaries and political appointees.”

Podesta also looked after another Apollo Alliance board member Van Jones, giving him a job with Center for American Progress , when Jones was forced to exit the White House.

Besides Rogers, two old New Party affiliates are involved in the Apollo Alliance. Gerry Hudson of DSA and SEIU serves as a board member. Anthony Thigpenn serves on the Apollo Alliance advisory board and runs the Apollo affiliate in Los Angeles – which trains “anti racist environmental organizers.”
Thigpenn is a former member of the Maoist leaning Black Panther Party, but that’s pretty mild by Apollo standards. The former head of the New York Apollo Alliance Jeff Jones, once led the terrorist Weather Underground Organization with he and President Obama’s ‘s mutual friends , Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.
Former DSA youth leader and SEIU organizer Ron Ruggiero, serves as Apollo Alliance National Field Director.
It’s a safe bet that a good portion of the “stimulus package” $80 Billion dollars will be going to Van Jones’ Green For All in San Francisco in San Francisco, to Anthony Thigpenn’s “environmental anti racism” trainers in Los Angeles and Jeff Jones’ former crew in New York.

Any good Leninist will tell you. It is not gaining power that is important, it is the KEEPING of power.

Joel Rogers’ New Party, modeled the movement that put Obama in power. His Apollo Alliance provides a means for holding that power.

It is essentially a massive patronage system, where huge amounts of taxpayer’s money is channeled into radical led “green” camouflaged mass organizations.
These “green” armies will be the vote herders of the future. They will confront the Tea Party movement and other patriots on the streets of America. They will be the paramilitary armies used to intimidate the very people who fund them.
In a January 2 2009, tribute to late to Democratic Socialists of America founder Michael Harrington, Gerry Hudson of the Apollo Alliance/SEIU/DSA wrote;

It’s tragic for so many reasons that Michael died too young; his voice and his wisdom are sorely needed. How he would marvel at the election of Barack Obama and the promise that this victory affords all of us on the democratic left! He is sorely missed. But were he alive, I would hope—and expect, that he and others who are informed by this vision of democratic socialism would join with us in SEIU as we seek to take advantage of a moment most of us have spent our lifetimes only dreaming of.

Joel Rogers is the glue that ties many of these threads together – Institute for Policy Studies, Democratic Socialists of America , ACORN, SEIU, New Party, the Apollo Alliance – even possibly the sub -prime mortgage crisis.

I believe, had there been no Joel Rogers, there likely would have been no President Barack Obama

Wednesday, April 21, 2010 by Walter E. Williams

According to the Tax Policy Center, a Washington, D.C., research organization, nearly half of U.S. households will pay no federal income taxes for 2009. That’s up from the Tax Foundation’s 2006 estimate that 41 percent of the American population, or 121 million Americans, were completely outside the federal income tax system. These Americans pay no federal income tax either because their incomes are too low or they have higher income but credits, deductions and exemptions that relieve them of tax liability. This lack of income tax liability stands in stark contrast to the top 10 percent of earners, those households earning an average of $366,400 in 2006, who paid about 73 percent of federal income taxes. The top 25 percent paid 86 percent. The bottom 50 percent of taxpayers paid less than 4 percent of federal income taxes collected.

Let’s not dwell on the fairness of such an arrangement for financing the activities of the federal government. Instead, let’s ask what kind of incentives and results such an arrangement produces and ask ourselves whether these results are good for our country. That’s a question to be asked whether or not one has federal income tax liabilities.

Having 121 million Americans completely outside the federal income tax system, it’s like throwing chum to political sharks. These Americans become a natural spending constituency for big-spending politicians. After all, if you have no income tax liability, how much do you care about deficits, how much Congress spends and the level of taxation? Political calls for tax cuts and spending restraints have little appeal. Survey polls revealed this. According to The Harris Poll taken in June 2003, 51 percent of Democrats thought the tax cuts enacted by Congress were a bad thing while 16 percent of Republicans thought so. Among Democrats, 67 percent thought the tax cuts were unfair while 32 percent of Republicans thought so. When asked whether the $350-billion tax cut package will help your family finances, 59 percent of those surveyed said no and 35 percent said yes. Tax cuts to many Americans mean just one thing: They pose a threat to the federal handouts they receive.

Here’s my perhaps politically incorrect question: If one has no financial stake in our country, how much of a say-so should he have in its management? Let’s put it another way: I do not own stock, and hence have no financial stake, in Ford Motor Company. Do you think I should have voting rights or any say-so in the management of the company? I’m guessing that the average sane person’s answer is no. You say, “Williams, just where are you heading with this?” I’m not proposing that we take voting rights away from those who do not pay taxes. What I’m suggesting is that every American gets one vote in every federal election, plus another vote for each $20,000 he pays in federal taxes. With such a system, there’d be a modicum of linkage between one’s financial stake in our country and his decision-making right. Of course, unequal voting power could be reduced by legislating lower taxes.

This is not a far-out idea. The founders worried about it. James Madison’s concern about class warfare between the rich and the poor led him to favor the House of Representatives being elected by the people at large and the Senate elected by property owners. He said, “It is nevertheless certain, that there are various ways in which the rich may oppress the poor; in which property may oppress liberty; and that the world is filled with examples. It is necessary that the poor should have a defense against the danger. On the other hand, the danger to the holders of property cannot be disguised, if they be undefended against a majority without property

May 1, 2010 By Save America

If you been watching Glenn Beck, you probably know Dr. David Barton. He is the Founder and President of WallBuilders (http://www.wallbuilders.com) a national pro-family organization representing America’s history and prominent figures. The emphasis of this organization is on America’s moral, religious and constitutional heritage.

Dr. David Barton is a true historian and understands historical facts as well as the Biblical truths of our founding. He describes how Oministry is breaking down our religious freedoms before our eyes in a well-documented paper entitled: The White House Attack on Religion Continues: Repealing Conscience Protection. Steps have already been taken by this current administration which include: eliminating the faith based section of the White House website, changing the policy regarding the hiring practices by faith-based organizations to include restrictions on stimulus funds to higher education institutions that allow religious activities on their campuses, reducing tax breaks for charitable giving, and a recent announcement that it plans to repeal “conscience protection” for health care workers who refuse to participate in abortions.

While he is an expert of the subject of whether or not the United States was founded as a Christian Nation, he’s recently made some comments regarding President Obama’s platform and leadership. They are as follows:

“Respect the Office? Yes. Respect the Man in the Office? No, I am sorry to say. I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, called upon America to unite behind Obama. Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I am not united behind Obama. I will respect the Office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator and wordsmith and pray for him, but that is it. I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure he is a one term President. Why am I doing this? It is because:

-I do not share Obama’s vision or value system for America

-I do not share his abortion beliefs

-I do not share his radical Marxist’s concept of redistributing wealth

-I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ (the ceiling has been changed three times since August)

-I do not share his view that America is arrogant

-I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation

-I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%

-I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegal’s than our American Citizen who need help

-I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage

-I do not share his views that Radical Islam is our friend and Israel is our enemy who should give up any land

-I do not share his belief on how to rework the healthcare system in America

-I do not share his strategic views of the Middle East

-I do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran

Bottom line: My America is vastly different from Obama’s and I have a higher obligation to my Country and my God to do what is right. For eight years the liberals in our society led by numerous entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but their celebrity status have attacked President Bush, his family and his spiritual beliefs. They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their philosophies and they never came together nor compromised the personal beliefs for the betterment of our country. They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except for being intolerant. They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years. They have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our Country. They have made every effort to remove the name of God or Jesus Christ from our society. They have challenged capital punishment, the right to bear firearms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code. They have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the right to free speech.

Unite behind Obama, never! I am sure many of you who read the think I am going overboard, but I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of evil. President Bush made many mistakes during his Presidency, and I am not sure how history will judge him. However, I believe that the weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers.

Majority rules in America, and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama and his “goals for America”.

I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our County. Anymore compromise is more defeat. I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the socialist-Marxist, anti-God crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America. “

“Error of Opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it.” Thomas Jefferson

“God bless you and God Bless our Country. If we ever forget that we’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” Ronald Reagan

“I want the American way of life back, In God we Trust.” Dr. David Barton
